Interesting Meetings
FAQ
What HAPPENS AT AN INTERESTING MEETING?
In an Interesting Meeting an actor pretends to be a famous person and answers questions as if they were them. A typical show has several phases. In the beginning the moderator will encourage the audience to brainstorm together and elicit what they already know about the character being interviewed. In the second phase the moderator asks a first round of questions which is designed to give the audience important background information about the character. Next the moderator opens the floor to the audience for a first round of audience questions. Finally, after more rounds of moderator/audience questions, the actor may talk to the audience personally.
Is It Scripted?
The shows are not scripted and the actor is basically improvising. However, they are always well-knowledged on the character and they will be careful to mention certain key information. The format is very dynamic though and every session is different.
Who Is It For?
These shows function like a talk-show and they rely on people understanding the spoken words in real time. For that reason they are more suited to people with a good level of English.
