Interesting Meetings

In an Interesting Meeting an actor pretends to be a famous person and answers questions as if they were them. A typical show has several phases. In the beginning the moderator will encourage the audience to brainstorm together. In the second phase the moderator asks the character a first round of questions which is designed to give the audience important background information about them. Next, the moderator opens the floor to the audience for a round of audience questions.

The shows are not scripted and the actor is basically improvising. However, they are always well-knowledged on the character and they will be careful to mention certain key information points. The format is very dynamic though and every session is different.

These shows function like a talk-show and they rely on people understanding the spoken words in real time. For that reason they are more suited to people with a good level of English.

So far we have had Interesting Meetings with these characters.....

William Shakespeare, Franz Kafka, Václav Havel, Charlie Chaplin, Agtha Christie, A Homeless Character, Dr Frankenstein, David Attenborough, and Charles IV.

Our theatre shows are free, but we ask audience members to make a voluntary contribution of at least 200Kč. A program in your own space will typically cost between 3-6000Kč by arrangement.
